Peggy L. Walker
Board President and Compliance Co-Director
After completing double majors in Family Life and Sociology at Utah State University, I focused on becoming a teacher and later earned my Master’s degree in Psychology from CSU Northridge.
I taught Social Science and Science in Utah, Nevada and California, most recently, teaching AP European History, AP and IB Psychology and advising Mock Trial. As an Instructional Coach and Google Certified Instructor, I taught best practices, digital literacy, and presented at regional and national conferences.
Raised in Utah, I married and raised my family in Newbury Park, CA where I served on the HOA Board and as Architectural Chair for fifteen years. I retired in 2018 and moved to Prescott in 2019. Living in Prescott feels like coming home. I love the natural surroundings, the people and feel so blessed to have landed in Cliff Rose.
An Arizona native by birth, I lived in Phoenix until I was accepted at Vassar College to pursue a degree in the arts. I then transferred to the University of Arizona where I achieved a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (Business Computer Technology). I was recruited by Chevron Information Technology Corporation (CITC) and worked in Northern California where I met my husband, Robert Sledge, while he was stationed at Travis AFB. I have worked in computer technology as a Programmer and Systems Support Analyst for companies like Bank of America, GreenPoint Credit, as well as San Diego Gas and Electric.

I am an upstate New York (Elmira) girl who has worked and moved all around the country. I have a wealth of experience building relationships with teams of professionals in business, including IBM, The Great A&P Tea Co and Hardinge Brothers Inc., as well as previous HOA boards in Morgan Hill, CA, San Jose, CA, and Fountain Hills, AZ. My husband and I moved to Prescott (our final move) in September of 2017, and love the area. I joined the Cliff Rose board as the Social Director in February 2018.
I am a native to the area and have had a very rewarding life. I want to become part of my community and help make decisions for our community. I am a go-getter and will do what I can to help keep Cliff Rose a happy place to reside and call home! The reason that I think I could be a good HOA Board member is to have a voice in my community and be a positive voice for those that are not able to contribute themselves. I was born locally graduated from HUSD then followed that by attending college in Northern Arizona. I had always dreamed of being a software engineer and that is what I currently do for a living. I absolutely enjoy my job developing reports and queries for our local hospitals. My employer is a fortune 500 company headquartered in Kansas City, MO. It is a truly rewarding job to deliver patient outcome to physicians, patients, and our community. To be able to say that my job is serious and can and does save lives is very rewarding! I hope to get to represent my fellow neighbors in the way that they wish to be represented

I am an Arctic Research scientist at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. My work includes building collaborations for sea ice research with Federal and State agency, and academic partners through the Interagency Arctic Research Collaborations network. Prior to moving to Prescott in 2018, my husband and I owned and renovated homes in Texas, Alaska and Oregon. We have a preschool-age son and two former shelter dogs who love walking through the Cliff Rose neighborhood and the local trails.
I moved to Prescott in 2017 from the Bay Area (Pleasanton), now I love calling Prescott my home. I have been blessed to have been married to my best friend for the past 39 years. I am a Realtor who loves helping people find their dream home or help them sell their home to move on to the next journey life brings their way. My hobbies include gardening, kayaking and hiking. We have two grown children with families of their own and we travel to see our 4 grandkids as often as we can. I love living here, because Prescott is a bustling four-season area that people of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities and its rich history. I especially love the friendly small-town feel with everyone I meet. I am so glad I live in Cliff Rose, because it is family friendly and filled with genuine compassionate neighbors.
